A quiet day. Stima arrived at midday and we talked about the first days of the visit and planned the next few days. I asked if I could visit his mosque which he was thrilled for us to do. I met the Imam and spent a good half hour with him discussing religion, left him with a gift of money and he gave me a request for three bundles of corrugated iron roofing for the mosque on my departure!
My dinner arrived when we returned, one of Issa’s ducks, slaughtered by Stima and cooked by Zuhura, his wife. A very kind gesture and as Stima was with me I had to eat it there and then!
Then dinner arrived from the Kwezi kitchen, a very ugly fish and vegetables but I just couldn’t eat the head!
